Scalable Display Technologies announced that it has completed the installation of the EasyBlend software for the U.S. Coast Guard to be used in the latter’s aircrew weapons training simulator. The CGAWT (Coast Guard Aircrew Weapons Trainer) project was led by Pathfinder Systems.
Pathfinder Systems selected the EasyBlend software to measure the geometry and color of JVC’s seven full HD projectors. The CGAWT can be modified easily to accommodate MH-60J and MH-60C types of aircrafts. The CGAWT device has been installed at the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in Alabama, where it will be used to train aerial gunnery.
EasyBlend software delivers high technical precision, hence, it is the suitable auto-calibration technology to be used for defense simulation. The software uses a feedback system that is camera-generated, to evaluate pixel-perfect instructions. It also aligns multiple projector displays in a quick time to get edge-blended high-quality images from multiple projectors with rich color.
The CEO of Scalable Displays, Andrew Jamison, stated that the customers get appreciation for the accurate geometric uniformity provided by the company. The VP of Pathfinder Systems, Ivan Jaszlics, said that Scalable Displays has a reputation for delivering a user-friendly, very precise auto-calibration technology for multi-projector displays.
