GAO Introduces New GFS102 Fiber Optic Digital Video Transceiver

GAO Fiber Optics, supplier of transceivers and fiber optic test and measurement equipment, has introduced a new GFS102 fiber optic digital video transceiver. The GFS102 can transmit the video over one optical fiber and is compatible with SECAM, PAL and NTSC video formats. It utilizes a 10-bit/20 MHz sampling technology for digital video encoding to provide high-quality signal transmission.

The GFS102 offers a 6.5 MHz of video bandwidth and delivers an optical wavelength range of 1310-1510 nm. The transceiver also features a LED indicator to monitor the system operation and does not need any optical or electrical adjustments for field operations. A dynamic range of 20dB and a hot-pluggable design allow the transceivers to be installed, operated and maintained easily.

The fiber optic digital video transceivers are mainly utilized in close-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring systems, and are available in two card versions, rack-mount and stand-alone models.
