The TOM system has a modular design, which aids in altering the system to specific test requirements. It has a wide range of standard camera configurations ranging from 1 MP to 5 MP. The camera is available in two variants namely color and black/white.

The TOM Line System software enables users to generate the test programs easily and efficiently without having any prior knowledge in programming. The TOM systems has a number of optical test functions such as solder joint and shorts inspection, strong algorithms for component presence and color recognition. The integration of software, illumination and camera to develop a customized system can also be done easily.

GOEPEL electronic, headquartered in Germany, provides  JTAG/Boundary Scan and automated inspection solutions. The company has received the TOP-100 and TOP-JOB awards and is an ISO9001–certified organization since 1996.
