Digital Lumens has introduced the Energy Savings Calculator that will aid facility managers in estimating the energy costs of lighting over the next five years. The calculator will also help in determining the savings from lighting alternatives.

When the facility manager enters the data about the facility such as operating hours, facility type, fixture lamp wattage, number of lighting fixtures, and kWh rate, the calculator will then provide a five-year analysis on costs and savings. The analysis is offered against three different options that are Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System, installed lighting, and simple LED lights.
The Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System decreases energy costs of the consumer as it combines sensors, LEDs, software, and networking in a single solution. Ideal for industrial facilities and large warehouses, the system has an Intelligent Light Engine (ILE) that features a wide range of dimming and control capabilities. The ILEs, which form a wireless mesh network, are individually configured. The intelligent lighting system reports details about occupancy and consumption of energy.
The VP of Sales and Marketing at Digital Lumens, Michael Feinstein, said that the system offers a customized analysis of the energy savings, which makes the facility managers understand the importance of an Intelligent Lighting System.
