GAO Fiber Optics, supplier of fiber optic measurement and test devices, has unveiled its new optical laser source for field use. The compact optical laser source performs the tests based on its use of the ATC (automatic temperature control) and APC (automatic power control) techniques.
The laser source can be used to simulate a number of conditions in the production, maintenance and testing of passive optical devices. The 3E laser source is durable, user-friendly, and features a sleek design and a large LCD screen with automatic power off and low-voltage warning options.
The laser source is compatible with other optical devices and performs precise measurements. It contains a stable output power of ±0.05dB/8h and is available with SC, ST and FC adapters.
This laser source provides switchable working wavelengths in the range of 1310 nm and 1550 nm (±20nm). In addition, the laser source also offers optional modulation frequencies such as 270 Hz, CW, 2 kHz and 1 kHz to satisfy a number of requirements. The 3E optical laser source offers a continuous operation of five hours.
