The WSS-2000 is an LCOS Programmable Optical Filter. Santec's proprietary Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS) technology inside the WSS-2000 provides unparalleled versatility, allowing the user to create infinite optical filtering, attenuation, and switching configurations.
Furthermore, the function of phase control is accessible. By using the filter as an optical equalizer of high-speed signals, an adaptive channel filter for advanced optical transmission systems (DWDM, OFDM), a WSS emulator, or a versatile test and measurement system, the WSS-2000 is a technology that makes it possible to investigate next-generation optical networks.
