Optical Power Monitoring Devices

The optical power monitoring devices in the Optical Power Monitor Series consist of separate photodetectors with tap integration.

They offer a straightforward and affordable solution for monitoring optical power in DWDM, optical switch, and amplifier systems, eliminating the need for a separate optical fiber coupler/splitter and a photodetector.

The INTP from Santec is an integrated optical isolator and tap photodetector. Santec's newest and smallest optical isolator and unidirectional tap photodetector are combined into one unit. The INTP, the smallest tap photodetector, is the same size as the NTP when two devices are integrated. The customer can increase design capability and decrease module footprint with INTP.

The INTP series will allow for a more flexible design of next-generation high-performance pluggable small form factors, such as QSFP-DD and OSFP, and Santec's tap photodetector series is great for high-density integration in these modules.

  • Exceptional features
  • RoHS compliance
  • Ultra-compact size
  • Compatible with f0.16 bare fiber and minimum fiber bending radius of 5 mm

SANTEC's NTP is the newest and most compact single high-directivity unidirectional tap photodetector. Its volume is 50% smaller than that of the UTP-1. NTP gives the client more design flexibility while lowering the module footprint.

The NTP series will make next-generation high-performance pluggable small form factors like QSFP-DD and OSFP possible, while Santec's tap photodetector series is great for high-density integration in these pluggable modules.

  • Ultra-compact size
  • Outstanding characteristics
  • Telecordia GR-468 qualified
  • RoHS compliant
  • Available with a minimum fiber bending radius of 5 mm

UTP is a single, unidirectional, high-directivity tap monitor that is incredibly compact. With the new UTP-1's incredibly small size of ᵠ 1.8 × 14 mm, the customer can increase design capability while reducing the footprint of their module.

  • Minimal Fiber Bending Radius of 5 mm Available
  • Telcordia GR-468 Qualified
  • Pin Bending Available
  • High Directivity
  • RoHS Compliant
  • Ultra-Compact Size (ᵠ1.8 × 14 mm)
