The Solar Collector would not be cost-effective if the three functions are not performed from the same system. The device is known as the "Tri-Brid" system since it runs three functions concurrently.

A news release issued by the U.S. Department of Energy titled “Solar Energy Grew at a Record Pace in 2008” said that the U.S. and other countries in the world started using solar energy at a record pace.
