Abrisa to Showcase Optical Coating Solutions at SID 2010

Abrisa, a global leader in complete glass and coating solutions for display applications, will be showcasing a wide variety of front glass, optical coatings for display, silkscreened glass panels, precision-machined glass edges, and other lenses and glass at the 48th annual SID International Exhibition, May 25-27, 2010 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA.

Abrisa will exhibit anti-reflection (AR) and infrared (IR) combined display solutions for harsh daylight or brightly lit environments, and the affordable, full line of LuxVu transparent conductive coatings will also be shown. The company manufactures OEM glass and coatings for flat glass display applications, including silkscreen printing of epoxy and glass frit, and machined shapes and edges per customer specifications.  LuxVu's laminated IMITO reflectance coatings are ideal for EMI shielding for displays.

The LuxVu infrared liquid crystal switching device features an average transmittance specified to be greater than 96 percent from 600 nm to 1300 nm at normal incidence. Abrisa's advanced technology infrared band filters minimize the amount of harmful solar radiation and reduces the temperature in outdoor-use LCD applications. Advanced thin film coatings protect display screens and eliminate black-out, which is common when viewing unprotected outdoor LCDs under bright sunlight.

Custom AR and ITO coatings for near-to-eye and micro displays are also available upon request.  For all tasks that require efficient, high performance optical solutions, Abrisa's product line combines glass fabrication, coating, printing, and etching to meet unique specifications.

A wide selection of front glass is also available for ruggedization, outdoor displays, touch panels, and micro displays.
