InFocus® Corp., a digital display technology leader and visual collaboration champion, today unveiled three new thin LCD displays, designed to boost collaboration in the workplace.
The new thin panel displays offer businesses the productivity, connectivity and durability required for in-depth conference room engagement. With an array of connectivity options for AV sources, computer inputs, room control systems and much more, businesses are able to easily engage in advanced collaboration activities including video conferencing, web meetings, live demonstrations and trainings.
“Businesses purchase consumer flat panel televisions because of price, but later find out that they are ill-suited for either collaboration in the conference room or more demanding commercial uses,” said Benjamin Joy, product line director at InFocus. “Now, with InFocus thin displays, businesses can get durable, high quality construction backed by warranties and with features that accelerate productivity.”
Available in 42”, 55” and 65” sizes, InFocus thin displays are designed for the budget-conscious professional looking for features and reliability that can’t be found in consumer flat panel TVs. Delivering full 1080p native resolution, and handling computer resolutions up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200) as well as standard and High Definition video signals, the new InFocus thin displays deliver crisp, vivid images and video, while easily and automatically connecting to all computer and video sources used by businesses. A Dynamic SplitScreen feature offers flexible, simultaneous display of two full-size images or video sources, helping viewers focus on critical content. Amplified speakers provide full audio-video support.
Connectivity for Business Collaboration
Knowing that business professionals need more than the simple TV/video formats and limited PC connectivity, InFocus has utilized its 20 years of experience in business projection and consumer usability testing to integrate computer mode tables and on-board professional image scaling to allow for plug-and-play technology; automatically recognizing and instantly adjusting display settings for more than 70 analog and digital PC and video modes. This compatibly spectrum is up to five times greater than consumer flat panel TVs. Specific connectivity options include HDMI, VGA (HD15), S-Video, composite video, component, audio and a RS232 port that allows for easy integration with Crestron and AMX digital media and room control systems.
Quality Investment at the Right Price
Unlike consumer flat panel displays where the average usage is only a few hours per day, InFocus displays are designed for long hours of operation with heavy duty power supplies and thermal control features that properly dissipate heat. InFocus thin displays start at just $1,399 and are backed by a three-year limited-factory warranty and extended warranty options. For increased durability, the displays feature heavy-duty metal housings, as opposed to consumer flat panels with plastic parts and one-year warrantees that are often voided if used in a commercial environment. Standard VESA mounting ensures ease of installation, while upgradeable firmware and a modular design for ease of service protect investments for the long-haul.
Anti-Burn-In Technology
In a business environment, presentations often include content such as spreadsheets or web pages that are shown for an extended period of time. These prolonged static images often cause image retention on consumer displays which are designed to have moving images at all times. The InFocus thin displays integrate advanced anti-burn-in software that reduces the risk of image retention, thus prolonging the quality and lifespan of the display panel.
Pricing & Availability
InFocus thin displays are available immediately in the U.S., retailing from $1,399 – $7,499 depending on screen size.
