LaserCard to Showcase its Secure Government ID Solutions at Cardex 2009 Expo

LaserCard Corporation (Nasdaq: LCRD) is one of four international companies selected to present to senior Egyptian officials at The Digital Identity CEO Forum, to be held in conjunction with Cardex 2009 Digital Identity Assurance Conference and Expo, Middle East and Africa. Cardex 2009 will take place in Cairo, Egypt, December 13-15. LaserCard will also showcase its global capabilities in delivering secure government identity (ID) solutions at Cardex booth #4D4.

The Digital Identity CEO Forum for Egypt has invited government officials of Egypt, C-Level executives, and senior directors of leading technology providers to attend the forum to discuss solutions and opportunities for collaboration on key ID projects in Egypt. Potential projects include National ID, driver license, vehicle registration, and an electronic health care card.

Uwe Ludwig, Vice President of Sales EMEA at LaserCard, will present LaserCard’s capabilities, references and value as a potential teaming partner for projects in Egypt, highlighting the Company’s customized approach to secure identity programs. LaserCard’s credentials, featuring unique optical security media technology, are used worldwide in major ID card programs such as the Saudi Arabia National ID and the US Green Card.

At the event, LaserCard will demonstrate its Biometric Verification System and LC73000 optical media card personalization solution. LaserCard will also feature its innovative, technology-inclusive design and manufacturing capabilities that enable the creation of customized, program-specific credentials. Additionally, Uwe Ludwig will chair the Digital Identity Forum panel (Session 4) on Vehicle Registration and RFID for Traffic Control, to be held Tuesday, December 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
