Ophthonix, the innovators who introduced non-surgical high definition vision technology to the market so that consumers have crisper, clearer and more vivid vision than ever before, today announced the launch of customized iZon® SL(TM) Polarized Lenses.
The new iZon SL Polarized Lenses provide wearers with high definition vision, or WOW vision, in sunlight glare, even when reflected off water, land, ice and snow. The iZon SL Polarized Lens is designed for those consumers who want a level of vision that will maximize their performance and enjoyment in their favorite daytime outdoor activities, whatever the season. The new lens can even help in reduced contrast conditions.
The new wavefront-guided iZon SL Polarized Lens holds a distinct advantage over other competitive polarized lenses on the market. As with all iZon Lenses, this new Lens is customized to the patient's optical fingerprint, or iPrint(TM), that contains all 2nd to 6th order aberrations of the eye measured by the Z-View® Aberrometer. The iPrint, coupled with the company's proprietary algorithm, is used to determine the best sphere-cylinder fit for the back surface of the new iZon SL Polarized Lens. Because it is produced from the iPrint, the iZon SL Polarized Lens can address many of the vision challenges associated with higher order aberrations of the eye in sunlight glare, even when horizontally reflected off any surface. Among these vision problems are difficulty seeing in reduced contrast conditions, general lack of clarity around images at a distance and even shadows or double images. The iZon SL Polarized Lens also provides 100% UVA and UVB blocking. "The introduction of the iZon SL Polarized Lens again demonstrates Ophthonix's commitment to expanding our offerings so that even more patients will have a WOW vision experience. While it alone may not help you catch more fish, it can help you 'better' see the one that got away!" said Steve Osbaldeston, Ophthonix CEO.
The new iZon SL Polarized Lens is 1.6 index, and fully loaded with premium scratch resistant, anti-reflective and super-hydrophobic coatings. It is available in gray and brown tints and can be ordered for both Single Vision and PAL wearers. "Polarized lenses are very popular among our patients, and the new customized iZon SL Polarized Lenses will definitely be a huge hit in our practice," commented Dr. Michael Rosenblatt, a partner in the Washington, DC optometry office of Klessman & Rosenblatt. "We already have many patients enjoying the WOW vision that only the iZon Lens can provide, and now the iZon SL Polarized Lenses will give them this great high definition vision experience for their seasonal sports and leisure activities," continued Rosenblatt. He finished by emphasizing, "The iZon Lens System is the ultimate vision experience."
