OSRAM Opto Semiconductors today announced the newest addition to its Pictiva TM line of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) graphic display products.
The company's new 2.7-inch, 128 x 64 dot display is the company's solution to offering a lifetime of 55,000 hours. This extensive lifetime enables OLED displays to enter the mainstream commercial, medical and industrial markets where high performance, wide viewing angles and long life are critical components.
The new addition is OSRAM's largest-sized OLED offering, which ranges from 0.8 to 2.7 inches in diagonal. This ambitious product-line expansion exemplifies the company's dedication to provide the widest range of display solutions and strengthens OSRAM's leadership position in the small-size, graphic display industry.
“Increases in display size and lifetime of our OLED products are enabling us to address a much broader market in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications,” said John Cramer, product marketing manager, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors. “
In addition to an ultra-wide, 180-degree viewing angle, 2000:1 contrast ratio, rapid video response capabilities and a thin profile, the new 128x64 pixel graphics Pictiva display is an industry-standard 2.7 inches, enabling excellent readability and presentation of graphic and text images. Pricing for the Pictiva OLED display is comparable with LCD screens, yet Pictiva OLED displays offer increased performance, enhanced features and a long life.
