1762 nm Tm-doped Fibre Amplifier for Barium Ion Excitation

The 1762 nm series of optical amplifiers is ideal for quantum computing applications in the manipulation and control of barium ion based optical qubits, a leading candidate to replace Ytterbium based systems to achieve higher reliability qubit readout performance in quantum computers.

The PERSEUS-1762 is a broadband (1730-1950 nm) tm-fibre amplifier with power stability <3%(RMS), available in an OEM booster SKYLINE housing with output powers up to 2 W and OSNR of 45 dB, or in a rack mountable benchtop housing with output powers up to 3 W and OSNR of 50 dB.

Fibre lasers, amplifiers and ASE sources are also available for 1um, 1.5um and 2um with output powers reaching up to 30 W.  In addition to the 1762 nm Barium ion shelving and readout, applications include quantum sensing, deep tissue imaging, optical molecule sensing (H2O, HCI, CH2) and LiDAR.
