Red Laser Diodes and Modules

LASER COMPONENTS designs and manufactures many different optical emitters and detectors including laser diodes.  In addition to our own products, we have established long term supply partnerships with several of the world’s leading laser diode suppliers, which enables us to offer a comprehensive range of laser diodes to suit almost any application.

Red laser diodes have an output wavelength between approximately 625nm-700nm, they have been produced in high volume for decades and so can offer excellent value for money.  Shorter wavelength red lasers appear brighter to the human eye but are harder to manufacture and so command a higher price.

We can supply single mode red laser diodes with output powers ranging from 5mW up to 180mW or multimode red laser diodes up to 2W.  We are also able to supply these laser diodes pigtailed to your preferred fibre type.

For higher power applications, we offer compact direct emitting laser diode modules with red laser light output power up to 11W!  These modules come as standard in a fibre-coupled package but can also be offered with a free space design.  Designed for a range of applications including digital projection, laser light shows, phosphor illumination and even forensics, they have a long lifetime of over 20,000 hours.  Power supplies, thermo-electric coolers and various optical fibre accessories are also available to help new developers integrate these modules into their systems.

Our global trade and reciprocal supply agreements help us to provide the most competitive pricing, so if you already purchase laser diodes from other sources, why not ask us to quote?
