Sierra-Olympic Technologies, supplier of infrared (IR) and thermal imaging components, cameras, and systems solutions for innovative imaging applications, will introduce the Tenum™640, an extraordinary thermal imager with a 640 x 512 array and 10-micron pixel pitch, at SPIE’s DCS in Orlando, Florida. The new camera, from the Leonardo DRS line of uncooled thermal cores, will be showcased in Sierra-Olympic’s booth #1529, April 17 - 19, 2018.
The affordable Tenum 640 thermal camera module combines ultra-small pixel structure with its ultra-sensitive, vanadium oxide (VOx) microbolometer sensor. It provides unprecedented longwave infrared (LWIR) imaging quality and detection up to 60 frames per second (fps). The high-resolution LWIR camera core features image contrast enhancement (ICE™), 24-bit RGB and YUV (4,2,2), plus exceptional sensitivity (less than 50 mK NETD). As the most advanced, uncooled infrared sensor design available to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) today, it is ideal for a wide variety of OEM applications.
The thermal camera is available with or without optics. The optional lenses include 7.7 mm, 15 mm, and 20 mm. Each sealed lens and lens mount is environmentally-rated IP67; the camera enclosure is designed for rugged and extreme temperatures, operating from -40 °C to +80 °C.
