The new Gamma Scientific GS-1160 is the most advanced compact lightweight handheld spectroradiometer/flicker meter for accurate and repeatable display measurements available and features a powerful suite of capabilities for display designers, manufacturers and engineers. Specifically the instrument is about the size of an IPhone 7 Plus (220 mm x 81 mm x 33 mm) and only weighs 330 g with its integral battery and is suitable for color and intensity measurement of all display types including LCD, LED, OLED, and Quantum Dot displays.
Despite its extensive and sophisticated functionality, the GS-1160 Advanced Spectrometer/flicker meter is easy to use due to its several user-friendly, intuitive, preprogrammed measurement modes, all accessed through a simple touchscreen interface, simply position the optical sensor near the display and with a press of a button full spectral data and spectrum graphics are exhibited on a 3.5″ color display in microseconds or displays it on a USB connected host computer while data can be stored on the available microSD card or host computer.
As the inventors of the first high-performance, computer-controlled spectroradiometers for LED testing, Gamma Scientific spectroradiometers are trusted by the world’s leading organizations to provide accurate measurements. The new GS-1160 is the latest’s addition to the family with superior accuracy, reproducibility and repeatability relative to Filter Type color analyzer avoiding measurement errors caused by filter coating variations.
In addition the GS-1160 delivers key display measurement capabilities for Color Chromaticity, Gamma, White Balance Adjustment, Contrast, Flicker (VESA & JEITA), and Uniformity from .05 to 5,000 cd/m^2, with a wide range of Flicker Measurement, JEITA, VESA, CONTRAST (Max/Min), RMS, Time Domain, FFT and automatic dark calibration.
Furthermore the instrument is supported by Gamma Scientific’s flexible LightTouch uSpectrum and uFlicker software for color and flicker analysis and backed by ISO 17025 Certified and NIST-traceable calibration.
