Larson Electronics Reveals New Magnetic Pedestal Mount Explosion Proof LED Work Light For Hazardous Locations

Larson Electronics, a leading manufacturer and supplier of explosion proof lighting equipment, has announced the release of a new pedestal mount LED work light equipped with four magnets for temporary mounting.

The EPL-MPM-150LED-100 explosion proof LED light from Larson Electronics is Class 1 Division 1 rated and is capable of illuminating up to 10,000 square feet of work space. This LED work light produces a brilliant flood pattern of light ideal for illuminating enclosed areas and hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present. This explosion proof LED work light is comprised of a sixteen inch wide by fourteen inch tall light head mounted within a pedestal base stand with a convenient carrying handle. The LED lamp produces 13,000 lumens of light with a color temperature of 6000K.

The A-frame portable stand is constructed from non-sparking aluminum and powder coated for increased durability and corrosion resistance. The lamp can be easily adjusted up or down 90° and locked into position by loosening the two hand screws located on either side of the light head and tightening them once the desired angle is found. The four 200 pound grip magnets provide 800 pounds of magnetic force allowing operators to attach this light to tank walls and other metallic surfaces. This light is universal voltage and operates on a range from 100 to 277 volts AC and includes 100’ of SOOW cable terminated in an optional cord cap.

“This explosion proof work light is the LED alternative to a 400 watt metal halide,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics. “While maintaining the light output of a metal halide, this LED light will not produce as much heat and uses less power to operate.”
