UniKLasers has launched a brand new Quartetto-266 – Continuous Wave Single Frequency DPSS laser emitting 266nm deep Ultra-Violet light with extremely low noise and excellent beam quality.
Quartetto-266 will enable long demanded, but previously unattainable applications in areas from renewable energy technologies, avionics to semiconductor metrology and more.
The demo version will be exhibited at Photonex 2015, Coventry (14-15 October 2015) at the stand IL14.
In semiconductor metrology, cleanroom space is at an absolute premium. Aviation applications have similar space constraints, and also have limited power and require long maintenance intervals. A fraction of the size of many competitors, with a lightweight laser head and control unit that fit easily inside a shoebox, the ultra-high-efficiency Quartetto-266 also uses a fraction of the power - enabling a new generation of applications.
“Our proprietary engineering platform gives Quartetto-266 the smallest footprint on the market for output powers from 50mW up to 300mW with excellent efficiency. We are delighted to add this long-awaited laser to our existing portfolio of CW Single Frequency DPSS lasers. The fact that we are launching it during the International Year of Light makes us especially proud”, says Fedor Karpushko, Founder and CEO of UniKLasers.
“… A unique, winning approach, compared to the traditional approaches being pursued by other solid state laser companies” commented Bill Krupke, a world-known laser pioneer, Co-founder of the Laser Directorate at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), who has had a huge impact on the laser industry in a career spanning five decades, on UniKLasers Quartetto-266.
UniKLasers Single Frequency DPSS lasers also offer exceptional performance: free from mode hops during stable non-stop operation over 100s of hours, extremely low noise, >100m coherence length, 5x-10x higher conversion efficiency and low power consumption. A single technology platform for the whole product range keeps costs down and means that even in a new product much of the design has already been field tested.
Laser Focus World’s annual laser marketplace report in 2014 estimates the laser market as a whole at $9.33 billion and growing at 5.5% CAGR. One market segment where UniKLasers excels is “instrumentation and sensors”, valued at $646 million and growing. UniKLasers plans to be a significant part of that growth, offering improved products to existing users and enabling new applications.
Meet UniKLasers at Photonex, Coventry, UK 14-15 October 2015 at the stand IL14. UniKLasers is exhibiting the new Quartetto-266 alongside their current product range: Solo-1064 and Duetto-532, 515, 442, 355.
Professor Fedor Karpushko is also delivering an Innovation!Live Tutorial presentation about UniKLasers patented BRaMMS Laser Technology , which is a single engineering platform for all company’s lasers at the Technology Theatre on 15 October at 11am.
