Ephesus Lighting, Inc., the industry leader in LED lighting for the sports, industrial and military markets, has been selected to install energy efficient high-quality LED lighting at the Tobyhanna Army Depot in Tobyhanna, PA. In all, Ephesus will provide 2,458 of its Altus, Luxor and Artemis fixtures in 113 buildings plus several outdoor lots.
“The fact that one of the most technologically advanced military installations has made the decision to switch nearly 75% of their lighting to LED speaks volumes to the benefits of our solution,” said Amy Casper, CEO of Ephesus Lighting. “The choice is obvious when facility operators understand how our solution provides better quality lighting that is maintenance-free, with just a fraction of the energy consumption.”
Tobyhanna joins a growing list of military installations having switched to the Ephesus LED solution, including Fort Drum and the US Naval Academy. Ephesus initially established itself as the leader in the sports and entertainment industry by illuminating the first sports venue in North America with LED technology in 2012. Since then, Ephesus luminaires have been operational for over 100,000 hours in 100 indoor and outdoor sports and entertainment venues including University of Phoenix Stadium, home of Arizona Cardinals and the 2015 Super Bowl and the Canadian Tire Centre, home of the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.
LED lighting provides brighter and more uniform light while eliminating shadows and creating a more natural environment. Ephesus manufactures the brightest LED on the market and is listed under Design Light Consortium’s (DLC) quality, performance and energy efficiency requirements. The DLC certification enables facilities to receive energy incentives from utility providers.
