Orion Energy Systems, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of energy management systems consisting primarily of high-performance, energy-efficient lighting platforms, today announced that it has expanded its portfolio of LED retrofit products by introducing the Apollo LED High Bay fixture in addition to an all new version of Orion’s ISON High Bay LED fixture.
The Company unveiled the products at its Annual Sales Summit in Chicago, Illinois, taking place this week (October 13-14th). Over 200 salespeople representing 80 companies within Orion’s reseller network attended the Summit, including 35 companies participating for the first time. Orion immediately began receiving orders for the new products and expects to begin shipping by the end of this month. The Company will begin recording revenues from the initial sales during the current fiscal third quarter. Orion will introduce more new products during the second day of the event.
The all new Apollo LED High Bay fixture will provide customers with an alternative that competes directly with the value proposition of high-intensity fluorescent fixtures, while providing the energy savings and optical performance found in LED technology. The product is expected to serve as a complement to Orion’s current ISON High Bay LED suite, which it initially launched in February 2012.
With ease of installation as the main focus of the design, the Apollo LED High Bay fixture can easily retrofit existing Orion fluorescent fixtures by re-using existing power supply cords, cables, and accessories. To meet specific customer needs, the fixture will be available in a variety of lumen packages, color temperatures, modularity, and other options.
John Scribante, Chief Executive Officer of Orion, stated, “We are very excited to announce the rollout of our new LED High Bay fixture, which will allow Orion to expand its leadership position in the LED retrofit market by tailoring a lighting solution to our customers’ lighting and pricing needs. The new Apollo High Bay fixture can now directly compete in a space where fluorescent fixtures have dominated, primarily in situations where initial cost is the determining factor. We have been encouraged by the positive response from our reseller network at our Summit, which understands the inevitable change in market to LED lighting. We will continue to work closely with our partners to supply the end user with a wide array of LED products in a number of different applications.”
