HALS-48-4L-347V hazardous area fluorescent light fixture

The HALS-48-4L-347V from Larson Electronics is a hazardous area fluorescent light fixture that is Class 1 Division 2 Groups A,B,C, and D approved, has a T4A temperature rating and is ideal for open air locations where flammable chemical vapors may be occasionally encountered. This fixture comes standard with four 54 watt T5HO lamps but an optional T12HO or T8 lamps are available. The lamps are protected by an aluminum framed hinged glass door secured with four turn latches. The fixture is constructed of copper free aluminum alloy and the lamp reflector is constructed of a heavy gauge aluminum coated with a high gloss reflective finish. This fixture is configured to operate on 347 volts AC for Canada and is 1598A Marine Type approved for use in marine environments.

The HALS-48-4L-347V has an electronic voltage ballast that works specifically with 347 volts AC and wiring connections are made through a ¾” threaded access hole. This fixture is designed to be surface mounted. Each surface mounting bracket is attached on each end of the light and allows the operator to adjust the angle of the entire fixture. Pendant and cable mounting options are also available for operators who wish to mount these fixtures away from the ceiling surface. Ideal applications would include aircraft maintenance, oil rigs, refineries, solvent and cleaning areas, gas processing plants, chemical manufacturing and waste treatment plants.

“This fixture provides operators in hazardous locations with a powerful, reliable and affordable lighting solution for open areas where flammable chemicals and vapors may be present,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “Although this particular unit was configured to operate on 347 volts, we offer the same fixture that can be operated on 120-277 volts AC.”
