The HI-Series 1550nm pulsed laser diodes from Laser Components, since their release in 2008, have proved to be both reliable, and technically a very good choice in applications where a narrow beam divergence (in both axis) and high slope efficiency (0.38W/A) presents a key advantage.
Both the already-narrow divergence of 25 by 12 degrees FWHM and the fact that the device has a smaller emitting area compared to many other 1550nm pulsed laser diodes on the market, allow the light to reach high intensities at the chosen target. The HI155G1S14S and HI155G1S14SCB are two of the most popular models in the series.
Laser Components have now announced that they are more price-competitive; people are choosing to use our HI-Series lasers and using them in their OEM systems, allowing us to pass on the economies-of-scale savings.
Once more if you later require further collimation a pin-for-pin and EMC compatible upgrade to the same laser is available, in production, with an integrated fast-axis collimating lens that yields 5mrads by 12 degrees letting you to easily adapt your systems to those more challenging requirements.
About Laser Components
At LASER COMPONENTS stability, continuity und decisions aimed at long term success meet with dynamics, flexibility, shallow hierarchies and a short decision making process. At a family run business this is not a contradiction but the rather the result of two generations working together in harmony to lead the company into the future.
The product portfolio contains various lasers, detectors and other optical and electro-optical components and modules of many well selected international manufacturers, complemented by the own line of products, that are being manufactured at three different locations within Germany and two facilities in Northern America. LASER COMPONENTS in-house products make roughly half of the group's worldwide revenue and help us in our desire for quality, flexibility and customer service.
