It is a user-friendly and accurate boresighting system that improves the hit probability of the gun. The VBS-80 allows a single soldier to complete the aligning procedure by utilizing a video camera.

The combat effectiveness of a weapon system depends substantially on its hit probability. The most accurate aiming occurs when an optical device is aligned to the weapon’s bore centerline. Senso Optics designs and supplies both advanced laser and video bore sights. The new VBS-80 Video Boresight System is designed and dedicated for the calibration of Muzzle gun barrels.
A rugged design of the VBS-80 retains the accuracy of the system and the self-calibration procedure allows the user to validate the accuracy of the boresight when needed. The electro-optical features of the VBS-80 make it an attractive solution with a lot of advantages over the existing optical boresighting systems.
The VBS-80 contains an Electro-Optical module (EOU). The electro-optical module aligns the optical axis with the mechanical axis. Its optical focus is fixed but can operate from 20 meters to infinity. The socket that receives the caliber rod is fine polish machined with such a precision that the caliber rod retains center accurately when dismounting & re-mounting the EOU module.
