Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will exhibit innovative new projection and HD camera products at InfoComm 2013, at the Orange County Convention Center (booth # 3729) from June 12-14, in Orlando, FL.
Designed to address the needs of many professional markets and a wide range of end-users, Canon's new products will include two entirely new projector categories for the Company: the ultra-portable Canon LE-5W Multimedia Projector, and a series of eight new REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors. On the image-capture side, Canon will introduce the new EVERCAM XU-81 and EVERCAM XU-81 W robotic remote-control HD pan-tilt-zoom cameras with outstanding image quality, color reproduction, and precise Canon Auto Focus performance for many different indoor and outdoor applications.
Canon's spacious InfoComm 2013 booth exhibit will feature special product-demonstration areas enabling attendees to view many of the Company's latest advances in imaging and optical technologies. These areas will include a central Touch & Try section in which attendees can see first-hand new Canon DSLR cameras, PIXMA PRO professional inkjet printers, and the outstanding EOS C100 Cinema camera. The Touch & Try section will be flanked by additional areas demonstrating the energy efficiency, consistent light output (relative to zoom position), edge-blending technology, and network multi-projection (LAN-based video streaming) capabilities of Canon's all-new REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors.
Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS Projectors
Combining the outstanding picture quality of larger installation projectors with the plug-and-play convenience of portable models, Canon's new series of REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors are engineered to deliver excellent imaging performance, in a smaller, more affordable design. The Canon REALiS WUX450, REALiS WUX400ST, REALiS WX520, and REALiS WX450ST, all available in both standard and DICOM® Simulation models, will debut during InfoComm 2013. Each feature a trim design under 14 lbs., easy set-up, and sophisticated operational advantages intended for use in environments such as houses of worship, college lecture halls, government monitoring facilities, and corporate boardrooms.
Offering placement flexibility, the new Canon REALiS WUX450 and REALiS WX520 Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors are equipped with a Genuine Canon projection lens that delivers a consistent fixed aperture of f/2.8, helping to ensure virtually no light loss across its entire 1.8x zoom range. This feature will be demonstrated within Canon's InfoComm 2013 exhibit, in which the outstanding energy efficiency of the new REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors will also be displayed. In addition, built-in edge blending functionality, which is employed through a newly developed imaging processor, will be showcased within the "Deliver Possibilities" section of the booth. Demonstrations will show how the new Canon REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS Projectors can be used in multi-projector configurations for the display of large, seamless images with precisely matched edges.
Also to be demonstrated are the short-throw projection capabilities of the new Canon REALiS WUX400ST and REALiS WX450ST Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors. The WUX400ST has a throw ratio of 0.56:1 and the WX450ST has a throw ratio of 0.57:1. The models include a 0-75 percent vertical and ± 10 percent horizontal lens-shift adjustment feature for easy installation in environments where the projector must be located close to the screen or other display surface. These features allow for space reduction without complicated mirror setups and provide cost savings compared to complicated long throw projection setups that generally require expensive long/ultra-long throw lenses.
The new Canon REALiS Pro AV Compact Installation LCOS projectors are also available in "D" versions featuring a DICOM® Simulation mode and superb 21-step grayscale gradation display capabilities designed to effectively project high-quality medical images such as X-rays, CAT scans and MRIs.*
The Ultra-Portable LE-5W Multimedia Projector
Great for both small business and home use, the ultra-portable LE-5W Multimedia Projector weighs just 3.5 lbs. yet delivers 500-lumen native WXGA (1140x912) resolution still or motion images with superb color fidelity and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Equipped with energy-saving, long-life 3-LED technology, the Canon LE-5W projector includes an HDMI input for display of content from tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices, as well as PCs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, HD streaming players, and digital cameras.
The LE-5W projector is excellent for viewing movies, video games, and still or streamed images. It also includes built-in 2.5-watt stereo speakers. The LE-5W projector can also deliver "PC-less" smart presentations directly from a USB thumb drive, SD card, or its own built-in memory, so it can play multimedia files without peripheral components. Equipped with three LED's (RGB) that have up to a remarkable 20,000 hour lifespan, the projector is energy-efficient, with an ECO mode that consumes 30 percent less energy than while running in Normal Mode.
New HD PTZ Cameras
Building on the success of its line of cost-effective, remote-control HD pan-tilt-zoom cameras, Canon is also introducing the EVERCAM XU-81 and EVERCAM XU-81W pan-tilt-zoom HD cameras at InfoComm 2013. Compact, affordable, and fully integrated, these cameras are designed for houses of worship, concert and performing arts venues, civil service, and many other applications. The new EVERCAM XU-81 and EVERCAM XU-81W pan-tilt-zoom HD cameras feature a 20x Genuine Canon zoom lens (with additional 12x digital zoom), and a 2.1-Megapixel CMOS imaging sensor. The EVERCAM XU-81 is designed for indoor use, while the EVERCAM XU-81W features a tough, durable housing that meets the IP-55 enclosure rating for waterproof and dustproof integrity, enabling it to be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. Capable of fast, smooth, highly precise, quiet movements even while simultaneously panning and tilting, the Canon EVERCAM XU-81 and EVERCAM XU-81 W pan-tilt-zoom HD cameras feature an open control protocol for flexible systemization and an integral microphone that allows for the capture of sound at the camera location.
