GlacialTech Introduces Energy-Efficient LED Flood Light

GlacialTech’s division, GlacialLight has introduced a 14 W AC-input LED flood light called the GL-FL12S with a passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor.

The GL-FL12S LED flood light

The PIR sensor enables the GL-FL12S to reduce energy expenses as it automatically turns on only on need basis. It is possible to turn on or off the GL-FL12S to a minimum of 3 lx in all outdoor and indoor industrial, commercial and retail lighting applications.

Besides automatically turning on and off based on user's preferences, the GL-FL12S transforms electricity into light with unprecedented efficiency. Hence, power consumption of these LED flood lights is much lower than that of equivalent mercury flood lights, while achieving a luminous efficacy as high as 53.6 lm/W.

Moreover, operating life of the GL-FL12S is 30,000 h. Under a standard 8h/day usage pattern, this LED flood light is capable of delivering more natural and gentler lighting devoid of perceptible flickering for more than 10 years with no need for replacement, thus considerably reducing maintenance expenses.

The GL-FL12S is offered in two color temperatures, namely the GL-FL12S-WW with a color temperature of 3000 K and a color rendering index (CRI) around 8.5 and the GL-FL12S-CW with a color temperature of 6000 K and a CRI of 70. Both models have 100-240 V AC input voltage. The GL-FL12S-WW provides 650 lm of light, while the GL-FL12S-CW provides 750 lm of light.

The GL-FL12S is eco-friendly as it is devoid of hazardous chemicals like mercury and does not release harmful radiation emissions like infrared or ultraviolet. This flood light line is also more economical as it consumes less power and provides more light when compared to conventional lighting products.
