ADTRAN’s Optical Networking Edge (ONE) solution has been recognised for its distinct features, raw innovations and breakthrough towards enhancing future communications and network technology. It has received the NGN Leadership and TMC Labs IT Innovation Award for 2012.
This technology enables the management of traffic from a number of service offerings to be controlled in a single platform, allows service providers to optimize their network assets and improve their market presence in mobile and residential backhaul applications.
Mano Nachum, Packet Optical Networking Product Line Manager for ADTRAN’s Carrier Networks Division stated that this is a unique solution which offers the flexibility and scalability required to address the bandwidth challenges needed for residential and business services.
ONE also enables service providers using ADTRAN Advanced Operational Environment (AOE), to comply to stringent service level agreement (SLAs) demands of their partners and customers. ONE is also being leveraged by service providers to extend their efficiency from the core to the middle mile and optical edge applications and also to ensure that the gap between the transport networks and their access is bridged effectively.
Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC stated that ADTRAN was honored and recognized for its innovative and exceptional work in the communication field using advanced next generation technologies.
Tom Keating, CTO and TMC Labs Founder stated that the TMC Labs Innovation Award was given to ADTRAN because they had proved that they were unique and the best in their services and products through their ONE solution.
The NGN Leadership Award winners will be featured in Next Gen Mobility‘s September 2012 issue and the Innovation Award highlights will be published in the July/August 2012 issue of Internet Telephony magazine.
