Sol declared that its 20/20 TST H-Series (Type II and Type III) line voltage LED luminaires have achieved certification from DesignLight Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products List (QPL) in the "Outdoor Pole/Arm-Mounted Area and Roadway Luminaires" category.
The DLC is a consortium of regional energy efficiency organizations and utility companies. It focuses on promoting the advantageous features of efficient lighting in commercial buildings, thereby bringing energy-efficient lighting design of increased quality within all commercial lighting installations. QPL’s LED fixtures, which comprise product type categories and not presently covered by ENERGY STAR certification, may be qualified to receive incentives under the state and utility energy efficiency program.
According to the President and CEO of Sol, Paul Wickberg, based on stringent performance criteria, the DLC examines and assesses the fixtures and this certification for Sol’s 20/20 H-Series luminaires proves the products efficiency. With rapid payback period and high energy efficiency, the company’s lumen output fixtures serve to be an ideal alternative to traditional HPS and HID lighting sources. Following the achievement of DLC certifications for its fixtures, Sol has expanded its portfolio in the global marketplace.
The 20/20 LED luminaires have been designed with forward-throw optics for achieving enhanced visual acuity and for delivering light uniformity on the ground. DLC certification reflects Sol’s performance and cost-efficiency features. It enables customers to get incentives from state and utility energy programs.
Besides achieving DLC approval, Sol's 20/20 line voltage LED luminaires are TUV listed to UL 1598:09.2008 and CSA C22.2 No. 250.0-08, IP 65 rated, IDA Dark Sky certified, and IESNA LM-79-08 tested.
