Savings and lighting solutions for Tacoma Public Utilities is being offered by Precision Paragon [P2], who provides high-quality, indoor-and-outdoor light fixtures.
Three different types of [P2] fixtures are currently being installed at a remote water reservoir of Tacoma Water. This efficiency installation enabled by Precision Paragon conserves energy, saves money, and enhances security.
The property will be installed with 34 ESTE fixtures of [P2] incorporated with T5HO fluorescent lamps. Each night, half of the lights will illuminate if there is no activity within the vicinity. However, when activity is detected, the integrated proximity sensors will activate the other lights. The fixtures are randomized, where half of the lights glow on one night, while the other half will illuminate the next night. The maintenance cycle on the lamps therefore becomes two-fold.
The power consumption within the shop is reduced drastically through the interior high–bay fluorescent (HBL) lighting. With excellent radiance, the instant restrike occupancy sensors switch off the lights when there is no detection of human or other activities in the building. The loading dock will be installed with Vaportight fixtures.
Tacoma Water’s utility service specialist, Rich Mizner said that the project was initiated to reduce costs and enhance the lighting efficiency at the site for a more secure environment. Improvement in cost-efficiency will benefit its ratepayers.
