Fiber Connections, a designer and developer of custom active and passive optical connectivity solutions, recently declared that its newly-launched fiber optic patch panel, Industrial GatorPatch will be subjected to Beta testing. The patented GatorPatch product line’s latest version features up to six industrial duplex LC ODVA connectors as well as an industrial MPO connector.
Being offered with an optional cover for added protection, this new powerful fiber patching solution enables IP67 rated connectors to have easy installation within complicated environments.
According to the Regional Sales Director, Hank Van Der Giessen, this upgrade is a response to demands by the company’s customer who require more robust configuration than the existing GatorPatch units. Also, more efficient ODVA and industrial connectors as well as assured-extended environmental effects are required by the customer. However, these requirements were accomplished with the release of first prototype. The company has two more customers who currently investigate the installation sites.
The central Ontario-based Beta site installation is ready to commence by the end of June. Deployment of product includes fiber optic communications in a place having high electromagnetic interference. This new offering ensures critical EMI immunity as well as high bandwidth communications with improved safety.
Full product release has now been scheduled for September, 2012.
