CyberOptics Corporation Win EM Asia Innovation Award for SPI system

CyberOptics Corporation announces that it has been awarded a 2012 EM Asia Innovation Award in the category of Test & Measurement / Inspection Systems – SPI for its SE500ULTRA™. The award was presented to the company during an April 26, 2012 ceremony in Shanghai during NEPCON China.

The SE500ULTRA™ system redefines inspection speed with an all new and improved ultra-fast sensor combined with a unique ‘all-in-one’ scan algorithm positioning the SE500ULTRA™ at about 30 percent faster than its predecessor SPI systems while achieving industry-leading speed.

Based on CyberOptics’ unique on-the-fly Inspection technology using structured white strobed light, SE500ULTRA™ is able to achieve phenomenal speed without compromising accuracy.  Designed and built by CyberOptics, the brand new sensor is manufactured as an integrated assembly with no moving parts, eliminating machine-to-machine variation across production lines. Tele-centric optics enable accurate x-y measurement and robust warp handling.

SE500ULTRA™ fully supports feedback and feed forward capability with leading solder paste printer and SMT mounter vendors in the market respectively. For CyberOptics’ customers using both SPI and AOI systems, the upcoming Process Monitor™ SPC software provides ultimate process control with AOI-SPI correlation analysis feature enabling effective traceability of defects between SPI and AOI systems enhancing overall product quality and improving yield.
