NKK Switches, a designer and producer of novel electromechanical switching devices, recently declared that the design of its SmartSwitch LCD product line has been upgraded. This advancement represents one of the largest viewing areas in the industry.
Available for both the 64x32 and 36x24 resolutions, these wider screen LCD SmartSwitch devices will be showcased by NKK at the 2012 NAB Show, from April 16 to 19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Through the SPI communications protocol, the operation of 64x32 high resolution LCD programmable switches with RGB LED backlighting has been achieved. The devices are equipped with a changeable and programmable LCD module provided with 64 backlit colors displaying alphanumeric characters, graphics, or animated sequences that contain 4 lines of text with up to 10 characters per line.
The 36x24 resolution switches can be configured in RGB, single or bicolor and provides complete flexibility. By using SmartSwitch high quality LEDs that enable superior color matching, design engineers can develop customized control panel with specific colors such as RGB white.
The high resolution LCD programmable switches and displays from NKK serve a broad range of applications that entail real-time sequencing or a graphical user interface. With these switches, design engineers can achieve an exceptional programmable human interface. This enables users to better handle the machines in fast-paced environments including medical devices or broadcast equipment.
The LCD programmable SmartSwitch devices contain epoxy- sealed straight PC terminals that resist solder flux and other contaminants. These versatile devices offer an extended life of approximately 1 M actuations.
