Sigma Corporation of America, a producer and provider of imaging solutions, has declared the availability of its newly improved 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM telephoto lens.
Following the launch of 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC II HSM, this 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM telephoto lens has now been released. The newly-upgraded lens is based on the company’s proprietary Optical Stabilizer (OS) technology, which ensures using shutter speeds with decreased stop levels. The lens design relies on an inner-zooming and inner-focusing system that ensures convenient handling. Incorporation of this system with the OS feature allows handheld, high-performance, close-up photography. Furthermore, the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) provides high-speed auto focusing without any noise or disturbance. As a result, full-time manual focus capability can be achieved.
The Sigma 50-150mm F2.8 APO EX DC OS HSM Canon lens can be found in markets next week. The Nikon and Sigma mounts will be available during the end of April.
Six SLD glass elements act as an effective solution for rectifying any type of aberrations, presenting high-quality imagery all through the zoom range. The rounded, nine-blade diaphragm configuration ensures achieving a bright blur to the out-of-focus areas of the image.
The Super Multi-Layer Coating feature of the lens minimizes flare and ghosting and provides high contrast and brilliant images at the maximum apertures. The new complements from Sigma such as the 1.4x EX DG APO generates 70-210 mm F4 autofocus telephoto zoom lens, while 2x EX DG APO teleconverters generates 100-300 mm F5.6 autofocus telephoto lens.
