Delta Light, a supplier of architectural lighting products, has recently declared that its advanced LED lighting technology has been implemented for renovating the Sandton Group's Gent-based Grand Hotel Reylhof, in the historical city of Gent.
Delta Light, along with the lighting designers and hotel architects, developed a lighting concept that will contribute to creating a contemporary hotel design, retaining the aesthetic value of the original Louis XIV architecture. The company’s innovative luminaires using Bridgelux LED light sources generate bright illumination. Bridgelux LED series possesses excellent color consistency, high color rendering (CRI), and increased energy efficiency, and hence ideally selected by Delta Light as a major light source. In order to increase the energy-efficiency of the hotel, the LED lighting eliminates infrared and ultraviolet radiation in the light beam.
According to the General Manager of the hotel, Duco Heijbroek, contributing to the importance of the facility’s energy efficiency, Delta Light’s high quality LED lights serve as an excellent lighting factor. Besides complying with Sandton's high lighting quality standards, the newly installed energy-efficient lights promote the elegance of Hotel Reylhof, characterizing a pleasant haven among the very active city of Gent.
Constructed in 1724, the hotel represented the Louis XIV style. It underwent renovation in 1964 for its 158 rooms and suites that resulted in a comfortable atmosphere with uniform ambient light level in the hallways. In addition, the renovation included installation of 380 Delta Light luminaires (REO 3033 S1 W.) with 3000K warm white light at 80 CRI. This energy-efficient deployment will enable cost savings of up to 75%, besides providing additional sustainability advantages.
