Philips Lumileds declared the launch of LUXEON K. Its illumination grade array paves way for new approaches for retrofit bulbs and downlights, thereby accelerating its market availability. LUXEON K arrays are efficient and generate massive light output.
This innovative array encompasses three different CCTs with a CRI of 85. It comes in five configurations of 4-24 emitters per array and will be available in Q2 of this year.
Philips Lumileds’ VP Marketing Rahul Bammi said that the addition of LUXEON K enhances the product line of illumination grade LEDs designed to comply with the specifications of customers. LUXEON K provides innovative perspectives for downlights and retrofit bulbs and facilitates in presenting a versatile and consistent quality of light in a simplified array. The product achieved hot testing and specification at 85°C, and devoid of Vf binning, flux, and unwanted color. Hence, the richly featured LUXEON K is flexible and efficient than most LEDs.
The efficiency of LUXEON K include validated minimum CRI of 80 and typical 85, hot testing and specification at 85°C, CCT: 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, free of flux bins and Vf bins, and single 3-step MacAdam Ellipse color space, Typical Flux at 700 mA: 620 to 4455 lm, lesser than 100 lm / W at 350 mA, Tj 85°C, and 3000K CCT.
The new LUXEON LED will be displayed at Strategies in Light opening at Santa Clara, California, scheduled to take place on February 7, 2012.
