Thinklogical, a supplier of fiber optic routing and extension solutions, has declared the approval of its high bandwidth VX routers to be employed all over the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The products, apart from its NIAPC certification possess a full NATO evaluation.
The VX40, VX160, and VX320 routers have achieved the NATO Information Assurance Product Catalogue (NIAPC) Evaluation Scheme GREEN. The VX series is the only routing solution to meet the NATO Directive AC/322-D(2007)0047 for MULTI-CLASSIFICATION Information Assurance.
The only supplier to establish an information assurance (IA) methodology across high-end video switching equipment is Thinklogical. This IA methodology fulfills the certification standards of TEMPEST, NATO, and Common Criteria EAL4.
In 2009, Thinklogical initiated the process of getting NATO approval. The first step, the accreditation for Common Criteria Part 3, EAL4 was achieved in May 2011. The TEMPEST certification was offered earlier this month. The final step was included in the NATO Information Assurance Product Catalogue (NIAPC).
The Thinklogical’s line of VX routers facilitates the customers to maintain Information Assurance within multiple networks, confining access to the firmware level. Its hardware fulfills the TEMPEST criteria due to its low emissions. Thinklogical is a quality supplier of secure routing solutions to various government and global enterprise organizations.
According to the vice president business development of Thinklogical, Peter Henderson, the company intends to be a pioneer in designing and constructing proficient secure computing and video infrastructures, on being presented with the NATO approval for the VX40, VX160, and VX320 fiber optic routers. The company relies on the Information Assurance and is also focused in achieving several non-NATO specific approvals and recognitions with its diplomatic, military, and intelligence partners, across the US.
