Power Integrations, a global pioneer in high-consistency and high-efficiency LED driver ICs, has declared that the LinkSwitch-PH LED driver ICs are available in a low-key eSIP-7F L package, measuring 2 mm. This package has been introduced mainly for replacement of fluorescent tubes that are LED-based, where low-key packages are needed to occupy the tiny space at the rear of the LED circuit board.
This new L package has a heat transfer label above the device, which is electrically silent so the addition of further heat sinks does not cause propagation of electrical noise. The device’s single-stage, primary-side controlled LED driver ICs exhibits more than 90% efficiency and more than 0.9 power factor. The novel topology reduces the requirement of variable electrolytic opto-isolators and bulk capacitors, making the devices perfect for high-performance commercial, industrial and exterior solid-state lighting (SSL) applications.
The package suits designs ranging from 4 W to 55 W, LinkSwitch-PH ICs-based SSL driver ballasts meet ENERGY STAR and EN61000-3-2 class C and D standards.
