At the annual American Lighting Association (ALA) Conference, Acuity Brands’ Lithonia Lighting brand product, OLAW23 LED Area/Wall Light has secured the Lighting for Tomorrow Award.
The Lighting for Tomorrow competition, sponsored by the Underwriters Laboratories, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency and the ALA, felicitates best-designed, energy-efficient LED luminaires used for residential lighting solutions. The award criteria are style, aesthetics, efficiency, illuminance, rendering and color appearance.
The OLAW23 LED Area/Wall Light won the award while competing with 52 luminaires of 22 manufacturers. The luminaire’s weather-resistant, rugged aluminum housing with bronze finish makes it suitable for many outdoor applications demanding elegant and dependable security lighting. Its transparent, protective polycarbonate lens protects its optical components from dirt, moisture and other pollutants. It has a modifiable photocell that offers extra energy savings by turning on the fixture at sunset and off at sunrise.
The OLAW23 LED Area/Wall Light is wall mountable and or arm mountable and is UL Listed for applications in wet places. The operating life of the fixture is up to 50,000 h.
