Creaform, a developer and manufacturer of portable 3D optical measurement technologies, has added the MaxSHOT 3D optical coordinate measuring system to its existing product portfolio.
The MaxSHOT 3D enhances the broad variety of applications possible with Creaform technologies with the precision and speed of photogrammetry, specifically for larger components. The product integrates the VXshot processing software and the MaxSHOT 3D photogrammetric video camera.
Jean-François Larue, the product director said that the company’s primary aim was to develop easy- to- use photogrammetry software to be compatible with its MaxSHOT 3D optical coordinate measurement system. He expressed his pleasure in introducing novel software that is easy to use for the quality control or metrology sector. He added that with real-time validation and visualization of the data obtained along with a completely guided step-by-step functioning, it enables even novices in photogrammetry to rapidly produce a high-precision positioning model of a specific object.
When the MaxSHOT 3D is used with a MetraSCAN optical CMM 3D scanner, a Handyscan 3D self-positioning scanner or a HandyPROBE arm-free CMM ensures decreased measurement time for larger components, rapid device positioning round the component and increased measurement precision resulting in decreased manufacturing costs and improved efficiency.
The MaxSHOT 3D will be released at the Quality Expo in Chicago, USA on September 20 and at EMO metalworking tradeshow to be held in Hanover, Germany on September 19.
