Photo Stencil, a major stencils and tooling service provider, has extended its volume and working abilities by acquiring a Tannlin TX stencil laser cutting device, which has automatic optical inspection function.
Acquiring Tannlin TX stencil is one of the crucial moves of Photo Stencil towards technological growth, sustaining its progress in the semiconductor packaging, solar, and printed circuit board sectors.
The laser cutting system incorporates a solid state fiber laser with good beam quality. Since data is obtained directly from the Gerber file, the laser output is similar to the data viewed on the CAD. The device cuts and inspects the apertures concurrently, so that the stencil is cut quickly and efficiently.
Tannlin’s founder and director of technical sales and marketing, Fraser Shaw said that Photo Stencil has been Tannlin’s client for several years and Tannlin’s laser cutting equipments are present in their Malaysian unit. He added that Tannlin is fascinated with the technological growth of Photo Stencil and Tannlin’s TX platform will upgrade the capacity, speed, laser cutting method, and the ability of Photo Stencil to manufacture state-of-the-art products.
Photo Stencil’s Colorado Springs unit spans 70,000 sq ft and it also has production units in Mexico and Malaysia. The company also provides thick film and metal mask screens, squeegee blades and tooling services.
