Newport, a service provider of photonics and laser solutions that measure, manage, and make light, has introduced a new LAKIT series laser tuning kits.
This alignment kit is suitable for laser alignment and tuning in research workstations. It includes the novel 1917-R laser power meter as well as a wide range of optical detectors, enabling the scientists to easily match any kind of laser. Every kit comprises a detector, an optical power meter, and the equivalent installing assembly to make the product mounting and selection process simple as well as cost-effective.
This laser power alignment tuning kits uses three different types of detectors such as thermopile, Germanium (Ge), or silicon (Si). They work in wavelengths ranging from 200 nm to 10.6 µm and reach an average power of up to 100 W. The 918D series has been developed for low-power lasers of about 2 W/cm2 and works either in the infrared or visible spectrum. The dynamic range measurement is increased using an integrated OD3 attenuator. The thermopile detectors, 818P series, are apt to measure the average power of high-power lasers working both in pulsed and continuous-wave (CW) modes. The broadband flat spectral response varies from 0.19 to 11 µm, together with superior-sensitivity to optical power as well as heavy damage-threshold.
Newport provides enhanced-technology solutions and products to consumers in the industrial production markets, health and life sciences, aerospace, security/defense, microelectronics production, and scientific research.
