Stouch Lighting, a distributor of LED lighting solutions, has provided two LED fixtures to the National Archives and Records Administration.
The LED lighting fixtures will replace the metal halide lights that light up the constitution avenue entrance. The objective of the LED lighting solution is to decrease maintenance, energy costs, and consumption of energy.
The LED lightings are utilized to light up the constitution entrance avenue’s refinished bronze doors, which served as an entrance to the room that housed the bill of rights, the constitution, the declaration of independence, and the charters of freedom. The constitution entrance avenue previously used the 400 W metal halide lighting fixtures. They were replaced with the company’s 129 W LED flood light fixtures. However, these lighting fixtures proved to have high maintenance costs during evaluation of the LED lighting solutions.
The latest LED lighting solutions have a lifespan of 80,000 hr and aid in decreasing energy consumption and maintenance costs. Justin Stouch, the company’s Director of Operations Supply and Service Chain stated that the company is pleased to provide an energy-efficient lighting solution for the National Archives Building’s entrance. He added that the entrance would generate substantial energy savings and enhance the quality of light.
