Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com has introduced the HAL-WCDE-4X1000 light tower that provides enough light to illuminate a seven acre area. The light tower has a diesel engine that powers a 10,000 W generator.
This generator supplies power to four 1000 W halide lighting solutions, which generate 440,000 lm of light. The light tower has a fuel capacity of 15 gallons that enables the unit to function for a maximum of 12 hours without refueling. It also has a telescoping light boom that enables workers to raise the four halide lights to 30 ft.
The diesel engine has a radiator and oil drain ports, dual fuel filters, safety shutoffs, automatic low oil pressure, key operated starting and water cooling to assure convenient operation. The light tower has a 12V electrical system the offers convenient engine starting and a grade muffler solution that facilitates very silent operation. The generator, with a four pole design, produces 120 and 240V, 1ph at 60Hz. It features two EDC-20232 Class 1 250V plugs that are rated at 20A and two EDC-2023 Class 1 120 V plugs that are rated at 15A.
Using two auto braking winches, the light boom can be increased to 30 ft and enable operators to turn the lights to 360º. The light boom can resist winds of 65mph when it is increased to its complete height. The lighting fixtures are housed in cast aluminum packages and are finished with a corrosion resistant hardware, impact resistant glass lenses, gasket seals, and a polyester coating. The lighting solution is suitable for event lighting, emergency operations, job sites, and work areas.
