BTI Systems has collaborated with DragonWave to develop an integrated solution to provide scalable and cost-efficient capacity across all the metro fiber networks.
The companies will resolve the requirement for backhauling data of mobile broadband networks by integrating the advantages of high-capacity packet convergence and optical metro networking solutions.
BTI will resell and combine DragonWave's Fusion collection of multi-service access and circuit-over-packet products into its portfolio. BTI, by integrating its collection of packet optical solutions with the DragonWave Fusion portfolio, will deliver a comprehensive mobile backhaul network system. The solution will address the rigorous SLA (service level agreement) needs of mobile broadband backhaul.
DragonWave’s Vice-President of Corporate Development, Alan Solheim stated that service providers need a solution that allows them to install Ethernet backhaul in a cost-efficient method. He added that the approach taken by both the firms enable in combining two technologies into a mobile backhaul system that can meet the needs of the customers economically and increased time to market.
BTI’s Vice President of Product Management, Jean-Charles Fahmy mentioned that the partnership with DragonWave would enable the company to develop next generation backhaul solutions.
