Phoseon Technology’s UV LED curing technology has been selected by EFI for its latest series of VUTEk sizeable ultraviolet inkjet printers. The technology reduces the overall cost of production, while enabling output on a broader media mix and numerous applications.
Printing can be done on numerous heat sensitive materials using the UV LED curing technology, resulting in new business openings for the wide format roll-to-roll printing. The flexible EFI VUTEk GS3250LX printer is a hybrid digital UV printer measuring 3.2 m. It offers optimum production level speeds and high-definition print quality.
The EFI VUTEk GS3250LX UV-curing printer also decreases make-ready, waste and labor expenditure, while expanding capacity. Moreover, it provides advantages for localized messaging and better profitability.
According to the Vice President of Marketing at EFI, Ken Hanulec, the UV-curing printer is the new benchmark for functionality and performance. The UV LED lamps allow the company to offer special functionalities that were not possible with conventional mercury-based lamps.
