Photon Machines, a company that supplies laser ablation and LIBS systems, has introduced a new LIBS rapid elemental analysis product.
XRF Scientific’s subsidiary, Laser Analysis Technologies (LAT) has developed the Spectrolaser rapid elemental analyzer, which will be supplied to Photon Machines. Both companies have signed a purchase contract for the same.
The Spectrolaser can be used for conducting precise and quick evaluations of elemental concentrations using laser plasma spectroscopy. The software of the Spectrolaser system consists of both conventional analysis methods and sophisticated chemometric methods. Users can obtain instant data of quantitative elemental concentrations available in each measured sample. Other key advantages of the method are speed, ease-of-use, and the capability to carry out multi-element analysis.
The President of Photon Machines, Steve Buckley stated that the Spectrolaser will be useful for applications involving quick multi-elemental measurements and for optimizing bulk measurements. The Spectrolaser will find its use in glass and metallurgical analysis, energy exploration, and mining industries.
