EMCORE, a company that produces complex semiconductor-based equipment, systems, and subsystems for the solar power sector and fiber optics industry, has declared the addition of new features to the Optiva Platform, which is capable of transmitting analog signal from 1 MHz to 40 GHz.
Some of the new features added to the Optiva Platform include fiber optic links for frequencies from 1 to 100 MHz, Ultra-Wideband from 50 MHz to 40 GHz, Ka-band, Ku-Band, X-Band, C-Band, S-Band, L-Band, IF and IRIG/1PPS. The enhanced capabilities of the Optiva allow integrators to achieve greater cost savings when multiple single purpose products are used. The analog microwave signals and satellite RF enable users to realize the enhanced capabilities of the Optiva.
EMCORE will display its Optiva Platform solutions at SATELLITE 2011 expo, which will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from 15 to 17 March, 2011.
EMCORE will also release a new fan-cooled Optiva chassis with plug-in module density enclosed in a 19" 3U rack package for sustaining dual power supplies and 16 hot-swappable modules. With the SNMP Ethernet interface, Optiva products can be integrated easily into existing monitoring and control systems.
