BFi OPTiLAS Unveils New Version of Manlight’s Pulsed Fiber Laser

BFi OPTiLAS, a division of Acal and a supplier of photonics and electronics products in the pan-European market, has launched the latest version of MENTAD 1550 nm pulsed fiber laser from Manlight, a French-based company that produces fiber lasers and fiber amplifiers.

Manlight's MENTAD 1550 nm pulsed fiber laser

The MENTAD fiber laser is more advanced in terms of technicality and performance than its earlier version. It uses 1.2 W of power and up to 40 mJ of energy. It has extended low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) triggering functionalities and operating temperature range between - 35°C and 65°C.

The fiber laser is an ultra compact device and measures 90x70x15 mm. it has a near diffraction limited beam of M² < 1.1. The device offers a pulse duration range between 500 ps and 1.25 ms and comes with an adjustable pulse width option.

The pulsed fiber laser is an economical, low consumption, maintenance-free and convenient-to-use device and is suitable for range finding, telemetry and LIDAR applications.
