Canon Releases High-Speed Multifunction Laser Copier and Printer

Canon U.S.A., provider of digital imaging solutions, has introduced new multifunction laser products for small or home office applications.

The imageCLASS D550 Black & White Laser Multifunction Copier and the imageCLASS MF4450 Black & White Laser Multifunction Printer are compact machines featuring five-line LCD, Push/Pull Scanning and Single Cartridge System. Scans can be initiated from a computer or from the device directly. The toner and drum are combined as a single unit to provide exceptional image quality and remove the problem of separate drum and toner accessories.

The Canon D550 Copier can print at a speed of 26 ppm and features a 600x600 dpi color scanning resolution, 24-bit color depth, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface and two-sided scanning, copying and printing. It supports different output file formats such as PDF, Searchable PDF, Hi-Compression PDF, TIFF, JPEG and BMP.

Canon’s imageCLASS MF4450 printer has a speed of 24 ppm, an enhanced 1200x600 dpi print resolution, and a color scanning resolution of 600x600 dpi with a 24-bit depth. The front-loading paper cassette has a 250-sheet capacity, while the automatic document feeder has a 35-sheet capacity.

Canon’s D550 Copier and MF4450 printer are expected to hit the market in early March 2011.
