3M Touch Systems Introduces 22-Inch High-Definition Multi-Touch Chassis Display

3M¡¦s wholly-owned subsidiary, 3M Touch Systems has introduced a 22„c full multi-touch chassis display called the C2254PW at the Digital Signage Expo 2011 in Las Vegas, Neveda.

The C2254PW is a high-definition (HD) LCD display that offers ultra-wide viewing angle and full multi-touch functionalities of 3M Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT) in a small, strong metal housing.

3M Projected Capacitive Technology solution

The C2254PW is rugged, can be easily configured and suitable for high quality multi-touch applications. The 3M PCT technology provides precise and swift response that traces 10 concurrent touch events at a response speed of less than 12 ms. The full multi-touch display has over 3,300 distinct sensing areas on its 22„c 3M PCT sensor and thus offers better interactive user exhibition than camera and infrared-based two-touch systems.

The anti-stiction coating of the 3M PCT sensor improves the experience of end users by making their fingers to move easily throughout the glass surface and continuing effective contact with the screen. The 3M PCT has cleared Windows 7AQ for over 10 touch points. The C2254PW LCD display provides horizontal or vertical 178„a viewing angle,  which is suitable for multi-user table and off-axis viewing setups.
